Violeta Urmana has lost her mind in changing from mezzo to soprano! I remeber her marvellous Azucena at La Scala in 2000: now her voice is thinner and the range has lots of "holes"! Pity!
Dolora is great as always, but the age is beginning to afflict her powerful instrument and the acting is worse than ever! And what about the costumes?! Sometimes "less" is better! (considering their figures ahahah).

@gestas60323 I was there, too, and it was one of the most horrific performances of the aria that I had ever heard. What's wrong with Met management? How I long for the glory years (60s, 70s, and 80s)!

Violeta Urmana is one of the worst singers I have heard...the others: Jennifer Wilson and (of course) Dolora Zajick...
The three singers are ugly and bad singers, specially for Wagner...
Horrore per Wagner...

I agree with a lot of brividokaldo's comments...but Dolora will always be a Goddess!

@TsarBovov
So true.
I pity those who paid the high tickets prices to see these performances; they were all extremely subpar except for the conducting.
Urmana alters the libretto altogether to accommodate her marked limitations. In less tarnished years, this kind of performance would have been booed off of the world's least important operatic stages-now it's lauded.
