I think this is basically about that "in love" feeling you get. As you get older you realise that it doesn't last and so all relationships are doomed to be never as good as the first one when you didn't realise that "in love" doesn't last and therefore it stands out as the best time.  All times in the future cannot compare and you must just "get on" as best you can with whoever you end up with ! ...

I saw this movie back at 1998. I was 16-17 i guess by that time of the year i saw it. I commited myself since then to always try to find a solution to arguments or ask what kind of solution the other part proposes. AND THEN, well, see if its plausible or not. 12 year later i still don't know how to solve the "#$& thing they were arguing about in the film xD

its a good movie, its about life you know, this things happen and its hard but we have to face it and deal with it.

russell crowe was damn hot, still is, but was better.

there are many parts of this movie that are SPOT ON in relationships, others where i'm just saying OMGGGG JUST SHUT UP AND MOVE ON!

idk, it's real, but it's still a movie so it's kind of along the lines of watching a horror where youre constantly like NOOOO STUPID DONT DO THAT!

i like the deep parts, the real parts. but in my opinion his character is too mushy.

okay. so they get together, break up, get back together, never went through the marriage, married other people..had kids, moved on..but they still have feelings for each other.

goddamn. they should just be together. theyre not being fair to themselves or their spouses..

and if they cant commit to a marriage, then they dont need to get married..

Just watched this movie....was sad they didn't stay together....but the way it ended you can't really be sure they didn't get back together. Russell looked good ( as always ) .....he couldn't look bad if he tried! <3
