Jackie & Mystic Parelli Level 3 Liberty Audition - Passed June 1, 2009
Hi Jackie, Thank you for your audition, it had been viewed and was a pleasure to watch!! You have a great relationship with your horse!!

Congratulations on earning your Level 3 Liberty!!!

You have some things that are well beyond Level 3 already, including your Friendly game, your horse draw and the subtle conversation you have with your horse!

As you continue to progress be sure to develop your circling game at liberty. At this level you should be able to stand in the center in neutral and have your horse circle you up to 10 laps at trot and canter. This will help your horse build it's responsibilities and help it become an even better partner.

We look forward to seeing more from you and Mystic in the future!

Thanks
Kathy Baar

  • Cool! What is his horsenality?

  • @dreamori Mystic is on the border between Left Brain Extrovert and Left Brain Introvert, generally confident, playful and a bit pushy, very proud of himself when he knows the right answer. He flips to right brain introvert when he loses confidence - which you can clearly see when we do the figure eights around the barrels in this video. Freeze, stare, 'what am I supposed to do?' I used to think he was being argumentative, but realized that slowing down and waiting works best.

  • I have added some annotations about the tasks that Mystic and I are doing on this video. You can check them out while watching the video by clicking on the Annotations Editor top right of the video. Enjoy!

  • Very nice audition!

I have a paso also. I am planning to finish up my level 3 in the next few months! So glad to know there are others out there doing PNH with a paso!

  • Thanks. Gaited horses are a blessing for those with cranky backs and that is just the icing on the cake. I loved their affectionate and lively temperaments long before my back started complaining about sitting a trot. PNH works with any horse.

  • Lovely Audition, everything looks really nice, soft & quiet, mystic is gorgeous! ps I loved your dog watching him go in the trailer :)

  • Thanks so much. We have a ways to go to match your inspiring savvy, but we are progressing. Mystic is a good boy and yes, he is beautiful. Because he syncs in so well to my seat and energy in the stick to me game, he is easy to ride off my seat and energy too. Our chocolate lab just thinks that we pay way too much attention to horses instead of to him! He keeps telling me he could do everything we ask of the horses (except riding them) first try with one paw tied up.
