Water Feature maintenance has never been easier! Improve the appearance and water quality of your feature with Aquascape's IonGen System. Electronic clarifier for ponds and pondless waterfall systems. Simple to install.
The Aquascape IonGen™ is a water clarifier solution for ponds, Pondless Waterfalls, and other decorative water features. The IonGen™ drastically reduces pond maintenance and provides crystal clear water without the use of chemicals. A microprocessor inside the IonGen™ control panel causes the outermost atoms of copper, silver and zinc to lose an electron, creating a positive ion. The positive ion attempts to flow from one of the Probe's bars to the other and is swept away by the flow of water where the ion can begin to treat the water. The IonGen™ Probe is self cleaning, using reverse polarity to prevent scale and debris build-up on the Probe's bars. The metal alloys in the Probe are scientifically blended and tested to produce maximum results. The IonGen™ System is safe for fish and plants and is not toxic to any animals that may drink from the pond.

Nothing but a sham! I had an IonGen in my 1500 gallon pond for a year and my water looked like pea soup. A 40 watt UV filter cleared it up in 1 week. Word for word, the second comment is all over the internet for every place that sell this hoax. it was a $300 lesson... learn from my mistake!

have had very little luck w/the ion gen, pond cleaned out in March and after using the ion gen last summer to some success, the probe [$100 to replace] burned down to a nub, got new one for this year to try it with a clean pond and after almost 2 months, I got a ton on algae and green cloudy water and the probe is about half burned down. My landscaper been on the phone with ion gen folks a few times always gets a different story. Trying a floating UV filter now to try to get it under control

I used this system last summer and it worked great - unfortunately by the time fall came around and temps were cooler almost all 18of my koi died! I have had these fish for over 10 years, even inherited some from my Dad which makes me really sad :( I have been searching for answers but am getting nowhere - can someone help??

I have tried using a UV sterilizer to control string algae. It doesn't work very well to control (stop) the string algae in the water fall or the pond itself. Will the Ion Gen do the job? Thanks.

Arteolike they actually work very well. I am distributor for them. we have sold over 30 of them this year. i have had no complaints. They are deff. worth the money. If you use this you no longer have to treat for algea. all you have to do is treatments of bacteria.
