TESTCARD - doorways

Filmed at La Maison Du Butoh Blanc of Masaki Iwana in Normandy. This really was one of those unusual moments, when all synchronous events cross each other at once. I started filming the day to day movements in and out of the kitchen doorway as Moeno Wakamatsu began a spontaneous butoh dance in front of the house, almost at once , she becomes part of the garden and it of her, and finally when it seems something must break, the spell is broken by Mo from the house, only Moenos back sees his approach , and with comic timing moves out of shot to Masakis entrance to the house and momentary curiosity at the events outside. As i say it is rare that the camera is allowed to capture this kind of juxtaposition in time.
