Tout simplement magnifique. Pure émotion.

@deathtosmurfs yes the lyrics are so evocative, in spite of the rumor I related. I hope I didn't spoil it for anyone. His work has so much depth and such a range of genres that no song is typical - a friend of mine listening for the first time said 'oh, so that's Tom Waits'. No, it's one small facet of Tom Waits. Peace.

@EwolDJ Many songs have a story line. Many don't. Lots of poets and songwriters use words and phrases to paint a picture (so to speak) in the mind of the listener. I don't know the backstory to this song, but the images I get when I hear this are quite dramatic.

the best thing about tom , is the joy he gives us , for those of you that have a piano
, at around mindight , a bottle of vodka in , peace , harmony and joy , in the perseption that we also are artists . even though we are not in his class ,
when we play his stuff

Heath Ledger and he share similar looks, woo hoo! I'm in love <3

the guy succeeds well in uncovering the gut feeling we (men) have inside for things we love: it is a primitive kind of thing that will let us even lie down our lives for what we identify as a part of our insides (heart, whatever). best from spain.
