How did you get your cases so clean?!

Thanks, no i haven't yet, im waiting for the winter. Would it be best to disconnect the PV from the top end and then just slide off the old case cover?
-
can u tell me how to get the actuator engaged to the clutch my bolt fell out and now the actuator just turns freely

I think this would be really helpful to a lot of us, Even if you could describe and show the plastic pipe you used and how to make it.

Very, VERY GOOD VIDEO MATE!
Question though, im about to do my case cover (inner clutch housing, like you called it) Do i need to remove my cylinder and take off the powervalve or would it be ok to keep the top end on and just slide off the inner clutch housing?

@DanteSD17 Sorry about the delay, you've probably done the job by now... If not, you can do it with the top end on, but if you ask me it's a much easier job with it off (for all the time it takes). This avoids messing too much with the PV linkage too much and makes re-assembly much easier.

wich liquid gasket do i use{ your recommendation } for split cases ??{ exept yamabond and thre bond} / is hylomar {elastic or hard } when is dry and easy to remove if split cases again?? yz 125 25

@BAKARDAN1 Blue Hylomar takes a lot of beating, I tend not to use anything else. It dries elastic and is easy to remove. A good tip is to put vaseline on one side of the case (only one side though!) and you'll find that although the seal is perfect, the cases will still "re"-split easily if you need to get back in there.

I'll let you into a secret mate, believe it or not Yamaha didn't change that engine from 96 until the ally frames came in in 2005 (why change the winning formula?). Your 2004 will be the last of the steel framed YZ's. The only change they made to the 2004 engine was to lower the compression slightly to protect the top end, they also polished the exhaust port and lengthened the header by 5mm. Go ahead, it should bolt straight in (can't guarantee you won't have to make some minor mods though).
