@thedwork Rickie is a pure artist. She is a poet and a musician who expresses her art through song. She is not a "singer" in the Barbra Streisand/Diana Ross sense. She does not have a "beautiful" voice. She is a POET! I love her and I love the other ladies I mentioned. Different type of art.
@75Krusty no, i don't have to explain about the 'ignorant' part. people that read your comment and know what a great artist rickie lee is don't need an explanation, and you wouldn't know what to do with it if i gave it to you. here's your original comment i was referring to in case anyone wants to know: "Rickie Lee Jones had an okay voice in 1980'ies... Later on... she made a bit of rock-pop songs, but had a bit of a rusty voice. Now it's just rusty and gone. Sorry if I sounded mean." whatever
@thedwork You have to explain about the ignorant part. Just because I don't appreciate this artist, as much as you, doesn't make me an ignorent IMHO. To say it, in a more softer way. She just sounded too much hoarse for my kind of taste. But thumbs up, for picking that Bob Dylan song. Liked the original. en(dot)wikipedia(dot)org wiki Subterranean_Homesick_Blues
@75Krusty wow. no - you don't sound mean. just unable to appreciate this great artist and maybe a little ignorant and cocky. that's too bad for you...
