Vampire Weekend is the debut album by American indie rock band Vampire Weekend, released January 2008 on XL Recordings. The album was self-produced, with contributions from Jeff Curtin and Shane Stoneback.
In the United States, the album sold over 27,000 copies in the first week of its release, debuting at number 17 on the Billboard 200. In the album's 11th week in the UK chart, it peaked at number 15. The album also reached number 37 in Australia.
The first single, "Mansard Roof", was released on October 28, 2007. The second single, "A-Punk", was released in early 2008. The album was named as the 5th best album of 2008 by Time.

@MrJskiles1 He'll actually never dominate over VW, and they'll never dominate over him. Comparing two different types of music is like comparing apples to oranges. They're both dope. BoB like this song and sampled/covered the chorus. VW make likable music. We all like music. Win-Win-Win

I'm not hating or anything, cause I love Vampire Weekend. But this is very close to B.o.b song the Kids. The beat is the same its just the lyrics that are different. But the kids don't stand a chance, is a lyrics in his song. What's going on here?

@Chihuhah10 yeah she sued them but they certainly haven't stopped making music, they just had a break last year and we're meant to hear new material this year sometime, they're in the studio now... they're still a band lol, I'd die if they ever split up. Them being sued wasn't even really their fault anyway.
