Whistlers first Regatta was a success all-round from 20+ knot winds to a light and sunny breezes that can change in minutes many smiles to be had by all. The only down side was my camera environmental housing it was designed for under water and I was using above water so it over heated and kept going out of focus so out of 4 hours of footage I got less than 1 hour and a lot of that is blurry. SORRY blame Sony !!!
This is my first time filming a group of competitors usually I am filming the boys only as part of my sports history documentation kinda like a sports reality show with all the trials and tribulations on the road to becoming an elite athlete. So I tried to balance the coverage but on editing much footage was unusable ??
The Bennets Boys had a blast and was a great learning experience for them at one point Neo was almost at the mark and went into Irons and blew his cool but the next day he was on his game again. Zen my 2 year old spent the first day in the bow of the Zodiac he even fell asleep he loves the water. There was one rescue mission as a Kayaker had troubles and was tazered in a nice way I picked up the person and gave him a ride back to his rental place.
