Hey Tom how's it going. I dont know if you remember me(It's me Jhovanni) but I attended the Wonderworks Workshop for 2 summers.(2006(you gave me alot of techniques in Directing that semester for "So I'll See You at Seven?", and in the summer of 2007 ,done in one day "Whispers"). (I remember I used Riley and Darbey on the video.) Wow, they've grown from the last time. Its good to hear you're competing in Houston and getting awarded for your work.

Two minutes in, and I thinks it's on par with the commercial. Great Job! with the finished product, BTW. My favorite of the five finalists. Congrats on winning. I hope you actually get the prize.
You did take them to see Cloverfield, right? Your treat. At least!....
Nice Job,

hey, tommy boy. i'm a little disappointed that i was not asked to appear in this production (this is luke talking). WHAT THE HELL, MAN?! I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!!
p.s. my favorite part in the commercial is when it says "homemade of course." it's basically like "tom kelley doesn't have money for a foam kite."
p.p.s. when do you find out if you won?
i gotta question... what type of file is this? .mov? .avi? .mp4?

It's a .mov file. I edit in Final Cut Pro and export most movies in this format. It is native to Mac and I have had pretty good results posting them here.

i do the same but the files end up being too big... i dunno.. i gotta figure out how to compress them better... is this 10 min video a .mov?

Yes, it's a. mov. I exported it from Final Cut Pro as a "quicktime movie with compression" on the "broadband-medium" setting. I wish I was more familiar with "Compressor" but I haven't had enough time to learn it. Or maybe I'm too lazy...yeah, probably too lazy :)

pretty good resolution (particularly after encoding to youtube), did you use HDV of HD?

SD. Just a little consumer camcorder. Turned out nice though.
