  • Space soldiers speaking Hungarian, and a battle hymn in Welsh. Love it. By the way - contrary to the typical wisdom of youtube comments, the song is not called The Light Of Aidon. That song is a lament. This song is a battle hymn. There is a difference.

This song was made solely for the trailer, and has no true name. I don't know how this misconception started, but I've found it amusing ever since.

(Don't believe me? Look it up)

  • Definitly need a Halo movie.

  • @sarissophori Yes I suppose it is. There's actually a bit after "cheating death of his sure victory", that when translated roughly means we are glad to dirty or get dirty, but it doesn't really make sense in English so I left it out. It's much harder to translate something into English than it is to translate English to something else. Thanks for the comment anyway!

  • @rhidiandavies1991 Did a quick Google search. There's a site called hubpages.com that claims to have the lyrics, their meaning, and a little description from the guy who supposedly wrote them. He claims to be Welsh, and has an account with them. Contrary to what I thought, the song apparently does have a name after all: 'The Life'. Sounds kind of made up, but that's what I found out. Its around the fourth or fifth result in a Google search, first page -if you're interested.
