I have always thought that Casadesus had a tendency to go for tempi that were too fast for him. This is a classic example. Here he goes into the last movement like a bat out of hell and hits wrong notes galore. There really is no need for this movement to be a race, it's marked animé not 'prestissimo'. Indeed at this speed it doesn't sparkle. Listen to Perlemuter who studied with Ravel.
