Naudo Rodrigues da Silva

He is a musician from Brasil. He began to play guitar at five years age. He never went to any school or music conservatory. He learned to play guitar jamming with other musicians, and went digesting all musical styles.
Since 1993 he lives on Tenerife Island, Spain where he work playing in jazz's Clubs. His guitar is an semi-acoustic electric Alhambra.

Madera de Choro (Naudo's band)

Madera de Choro is a band from Tenerife (Canary Islands) formed in 2005 due to Naudo Rodrigues's (Brazilian musician who's lived in the islands since 1993) wishes of playing traditional Brazilian music , especially "choro".
"Choro" sound was created in Rio de Janeiro in the 70's. It's a Brazilian way of playing European dance music such as waltzes, polkas and so on, along with the ancient melodies brought by African Slaves to Brazil. This genre was usually played by traditional instrumental groups consisting of: guitar, cavaquinho, bandolim and percussion with pandeiro.
Our repertoire includes some of the most representative "choro" compositions along with many other songs from popular brazilian musical styles like "Bossa-Nova", "Frevo", "Baiâo", "Samba", etc. The group has recently released their first Studio Album entitled "Canarinho".
