It's director Selvaraghavan, who had insisted on this tunes and wanted to have them in "his" film (Kadhal Konden itself is copied from German film Klassenfahrt) Yuvan is actually the best and most versatile music director in Tamil currently (after ARR of course) and listen to the numerous copy works of Harris Jayaraj or Srikanth Deva.
