Imera Kromni Pontos 1997 Vasilis Fotiadis

This is a short clip of the Imera Region of Kromni, just south of Trabzon "Black Sea" coast (Karadeniz). THe singer is Vasilis Fotiadis (a psalti) (brother of Prof. Kosta Fotiadis and son of ex-Priest of Sumela Greece). The locals took us to the hill top to the Church. you can find Vasili in the office of Panagia Sumela in Veria Greece.

The local village people were very good to us. Many liked the Greeks b/c in the 1922 exchange the Greeks of Imera asked the turks of the opposit village to move into their homes and take care of their things untill they returned (which many belkived they would ...... but never did). Kromni and Imera are the Homes of the Legend Filona Ktenidi and the Tanimanidis Family and many many more (actually known for producing many scholars).

That is a very valid point, the stone however ontop of the Church had a Greek inscription, date etc, ....but it could of been made by Armenians!!!
