This Lions tour in 1997 was won by the graft and genius of Tait, Evans, Guscott, Gibbs and Jenkins in the backs and the graft and hardness of Smith, Wood, Leonard, Johnson, Dallaglio, Hill and Rodber in the forwards!

Watching that Lions Tour 1997 in SA you realise that Keith Wood was the real leader, he would lay down his carcase for you and said so in no uncertain words, you'd die for a man like that on your side - a true leader and gentleman to boot !!!
