There is a huge amount of confusion about these cars, at David Sutton Motorsport the code for these cars in 1984 was S1 or Sport Quattro the later be winged monster was the S1 Evolution 2 (E2) this was always how the cars were identified at Audi Sport UK (David Sutton) and Audi Sport Germany in Ingolstadt, others may and probably will disagree but this was how we spoke about the cars when being developed.

That will be never an S1 its an Sport quattro GroupB - this is is Pikes Peak Version from 1985 with the later S1 engine in it. Read the original documents on the Audi website or ig-audisport - there was never an Audi S1 E2 cause the one and only Audi Sport quattro S1 is the so called Wingmonster also called Sport quattro E2

This is Mouton's Pikes Peak Quattro? If so, it has the same engine as the latter S1 Evo 2's.
