It's like they were trying to torture Aliison, honestly, i think that's what it was... I mean think about it. They kick her only friend out near the end (the other two were bitches) they always made her do the hardest things (like act out arrogance and do the biggest part in the first commercial), they kept talking about her eyes and unique look as if it were something to be ashamed of, and they held her with high hopes until the end of the season when they kicked her off...
