La popolare macchina da corsa Saetta McQueen e il suo incomparabile carro attrezzi Cricchetto stanno per visitare nuovi eccitanti luoghi in "Cars 2": la loro amicizia attraverserà l'oceano per partecipare nel primissimo Grand Prix Mondiale, che decreterà chi è la macchina più veloce del pianeta. Ma la strada verso la gara si rivelerà disseminata di buche, deviazioni e divertentissime sorprese quando Cricchetto si ritroverà coinvolto in prima persona in un'intrigante avventura: spionaggio internazionale. Combattuto tra l'assistere Saetta McQueen in una gara importante o l'eseguire gli ordini in una missione di spionaggio top secret, il viaggio ricco di azione di Cricchetto lo condurrà a un inseguimento esplosivo tra le strade del Giappone e dell'Europa, seguito dai suoi amici e osservato dal mondo intero. Al divertimento a tutta velocità si aggiunge un coloratissimo cast di nuove auto tra cui agenti segreti, loschi furfanti e concorrenti di gara da tutto il mondo
Cars 2 arriverà nelle sale il 22 giugno 2011 in Disney Digital 3D™ e in IMAX® 3D nei migliori cinema.
