@smithsmithboy A blister from no shoes... usually it is the opposite! Sounds like you need to toughen your sole. Give it more time! I love long dog walks, I envy your weather!

You have beautiful ambitions that are totally possible. I feel that accepting others judgments of me as reflections of their circumstance and not a determinant of my identity is a big issue I need to work on; it feels good that someone else out there is with me, hah. i challenge you in this new year to make a video when you are in the throws of anger & bitterness. i think we would all appreciate seeing that emotion & could all relate to it immensely, no matter what our gender identity or mode of transition. for the record, there is not a cell in my body that sees you as anything other than a man! i've seen a few people in those shoe/sock thingys with individual toe compartments, kind of like being barefoot with protection??? i hope to meet you someday :)

i fully support the barefoot revolution (except for maybe in public restrooms, i keep sandals with me for that). i cant wait til its warmer out, i'm pretty much barefoot 24/7 once the ground isnt freezing.

not sure what this says about me... but i've always seen you as really positive and at peace with yourself, and you generally seem really happy. so it's a bit odd to hear you describe yourself as disharmonious and bitter. at the same time i understand feelings of regret around displacing unhappiness about the trans situation by acting nasty to other people. in any case, you totally seem like you're already that man you mention.

Forrest you do make a rod for your own back with your self judgement. Ditch the rod in the new year and love your fabulous self a wee bit more! That's an order! ;D

As for the barefoot revolution...I'll let you enjoy that one without me. Got nasty childhood memories of spending about four hours having a 3 inch sliver of wood picked out of my sole, splinter by splinter...and now I hate needles too! :D

My resolution is to listen to myself more. this is my life and my transition and I need to listen to myself before doing what others tell me to do. If I leave my life in the hands of others I won't get where I need to be.
