Love it ,Barney singing this and Fiddlers Green is brilliant,love all the Dubliners each one had a unique talent and together they were magic,could listen to them all day.

Listening to the Dubliners it sends chills up my spine. They are a great group. I like Ronnie Drew's raspy voice. I also like Paddy Reilly. Their are quality. No other group will ever come close to the Dubliners.

And how true is that.........A one off!!! I remember he was driving once, i was passenger. The police were behind us with the blue lights flashing. it was a winding road and they struggled to get past. After a short while, they gave up and pulled him over. they asked Mick, "why he didn't pull over as they were on an emergency " he replied," it couldn't have been much of an emergency your pulling me over". suffice to say, he got nicked!!

My claim to fame: I went to see the Dubliners at the Egypt Cottage in Newcastle upon Tyne - around 96/97. I was working at JGWindows the music store and had gone straight from work. Barney had had a few too many Guinesses before the gig, so during a mandolin duo with John he dropped his plectrum and was hopelessly searching for it while John kept playing. I had a few plectrums in my pocket as always so I ran to the front and handed him one. He started playing again and everyone cheered!
