Here is my final review of a discontinued knife by CRKT. This is the original Mike Franklin designed Side Hawg. This knife scores high in coolness but is limited in utility. It is still available online for around $12 plus shipping.

  • Mike's a great guy and is always coming up with something. He takes great pride in his work and real Hawgs are scary sharp. I've seen these made in all kinds of shapes and sizes. I'm sure Mike will make one any way you want it and out of the very best steel. Just google Hawg knives.

  • @98379SA I'll check it out. This model by CRKT is neat and I paid next to nothing for it.

  • That's a great little knife--totally agree on its value as a collectible. Might pick one up myself! Thanks for the video!

  • @JorgeTheHorseThief You know, as it loosens up a bit from use, it will probably come out of the sheath plate smoother and be alright as a utility blade.

  • Oh and great vid my friend! and thats an interesting little knife too :-)

  • @MrWer1138 I have to agree with you on the hit or miss aspect of CRKT. The Polkowski/Casper Companion was a hit but had two lousy sheaths. The Stiff Kiss is a good design with a poor grip. Plasti-Dipping the handle makes it a winner. They also use lower and lower quality steels but workmanship on the fixed-blade knives is usually pretty good.

  • Cool knife!

  • CRKT are realy hit and a whole lotta miss in my book,I remeber buying four of there small lockblades on sale once and the pocket clips on all of them broke within a week of use, more acurately they got spung! And there funky looking multitool didnt last through an emergency radiator hose repair! But that said I carry my Swift Kiss everyday at work and use the hell out of it! I also love my M60 its a great knife with realy good steel.
