If you grew up in the '60's you probably heard this smear of the South Vietnamese Army. The joke implies that the south Vietnamese people lacked the will to fight, that they dropped their weapons on the ground and RAN at the first sign of attack. This is a blatant lie.

Radicals on college campuses during the 1960's encouraged America's youth to "Question everything."

Good advice. I did.

I did question "everything". I questioned THEM!

...and I learned the groups such as the "Weather Underground" were mindless pawns of the hard left. (Look at the founders of the ACLU.)

We all know this. Wars are largely won through propaganda -- especially if your enemy is a democracy. (Who needs bombs when it is much easier to "psych-out" your opponent through "mind games.")

Walter Chronkite was a trusted news anchor. He was admired by many Americans. But "Uncle Walter" dropped the ball way back in 1968. Chronkite had no business expressing his uninformed OPINION from the anchor desk of CBS News. He was the proverbial "monkey with a loaded pistol." Walter Chronkite was DEAD WRONG in his "analysis" of the Tet Offensive. HE WAS DEAD WRONG!!! He spoke too soon. HE SCREWED UP, and in so doing, he misled the American people ...and President Johnson knew it was too late, he was powerless to change what had been done. SHAME ON WALTER. SHAME!! The United States KICKED BUTT during the Tet Offensive and it WOULD HAVE BEEN a major turning point in the war ...except that the Commander in Chief knew it was all over. And then came the hasty withdrawal! The "Fall" of Saigon was such a needless WASTE of life and US tax-payer wealth, all pissed down the proverbial commode. Shame on you, Walter! Why have you NEVER ackowledged your terrible ERROR, sir? Why? Is is because YOU ARE A "CLOSET LEFTIE"? I suspect so. Shame on you!
