  • So I left my ipod out in the sun and the screen went funny and doesn't work, the image comes up but is light-almost white. the home button and everything works, so I'm just replacing the screen. Am I repairing it correctly? It seems to just be a problem with the screen, right?

  • @kails88 Sounds like only an issue with the LCD screen. This is a fairly common problem if left in the sun, however motherboard damage is also common (yours does not sound like this, if everything else is functioning properly).

  • how much is a screen not the touch

  • @mrsmilly12345 Current prices of our LCD & Touch screens can be found at RepairsUniverse (dot) com.

  • @MrFlygutt If buying the full touch screen assembly, then no adhesive nor mid frame will be required, as these are pre-attached.

  • @mrsmilly12345 dude just buy it on ebay , they rip you off BIG time for the parts

  • @weskerslonglostbro1O I'm pretty sure it is not necessary to replace the screen.

  • @houseofpotatoes Not sure I understand the question. You should not have to take anything apart except what is shown in this video if doing a touch screen replacement.

  • @mikejaxer In most cases no. If it is just the touch screen digitizer that is not responding it is possible the connection became loose. This would be the first connection in this video. If that connection seems fine, then a replacement touch screen would be suggested.

If the display (LCD screen) is damaged, a replacement LCD screen would also be needed.
