  • Awesome, those engines never quit! It's funny, the Suzuki engine used in the Metro was the same from 1989 to when they quit making the engine in 2001.

What was the smoke at the end. Something catch fire?

  • The smoke was a trace of melting snow turning to vapor on the exhaust manifold.

  • watch my vids of my dune buggy its made from a geo metro thanks!

  • they never quit IF you take care of em ;)

  • that engine is also found in the Chevrolet Spark (Daewoo Matiz ) .

  • You're right. The I3 was, anyway. I think the I4 switched to Multi-Point Fuel Injection in 1995 or so, but the I3 kept it's Throttle-Body Fuel Injection throughout it's life. (Carbs were standard with TBFI optional from 1985-1988. In 1989 TBFI became standard.)
