From The Clash´s masterful second album Give´Em Enough Rope. One of my favourite songs of all time, really powerful and such. I just scrapped togheter the video in 5 minutes, and there might even be a pic of Terry Chimes even though Topper was the drummer at the time. Don´t get all riled up about it. Besides, you shouldn´t be watching the video, but blasting away on your air-guitar. RIP Joe.

Note: I´ve tried to rename the song several times, as well as the tags, but no matter what I do, the related videos are just drugrelated ones, not of other Clash videos. Damn.

  • seen these guys a few times in the 70s and early 80s

  • Lucky you.

  • whoa!!Hang on a minute,im not comparing Joe to Weller, but saying both ;Top frontmen, vocalists, lyricists of their respective genres, both moved away from their bands to takeon solo type carreers.

  • Oh okay. But you did say "Strummer was in the same leauge as weller" which kinda made me think that you thought them pretty much equal, or at least to be in the same league.

But I respect Weller for his music and lyrics, if not for the rest of his career and life.

  • @joostay MORE COWBELL!!!

  • Glasgow Apollo 1978......wot a buzz!!

  • this track makes me want to start rock band with a saxaphone. Screw Fear....saxaphones are bad ass.

  • This is one of my favorite Clash songs. I agree it's very underrated and kicks ultimate ass.

  • Monumental opening riff, the Clash were the greatest live band of the punk era, only the Jam at their peak came close.

  • Needs more cowbell

  • @giterdun77 What does Joe Strummer need to do, hes not trying to please you. He walked away in debt not in riches and you could still see him living up to his ideals in his older years. He always hung with the neighborhood and stuck up to his stand when he said "And i'll get out my money and make a bet that i'll be sitting down the laundromat"

  • @giterdun77 Honesty, I don't care anymore. Those comments were made some years ago and certainly don't reflect my outlook on music and life anymore. Strummer and Weller both made good music, and what they did besides that I don't really care about.

  • "TORRY CRIMES"

  • WIRE- BRAZIL.
