A side by side comparison of my American Vintage Series 1962 Reissue Fender Stratocaster with Custom Shop Texas Specials and my Mexican 60th Anniversary Fender Stratocaster played through my Fender Blues JR.

Beware; stammering, stuttering, and repeating of my self and bad playing to boot. Watch with caution!!

I own both american and Mexican strats. American are better build quality and most have better finishes.. But with that being said.. I love my mexican strats.. Best value for the money. IF your buying to collect buy american. IF your trying to get the best bang for the buck.. Get mexican.Think of it this way.. Your either getting a guitar built in mexico by mexicans are a Guitar built in corona california by mexicans.. Either way.. A mexican built your guitar.

I agree ... but we for sure get the point. That said, I have a great mix of Korean, Mexican, Japan and US guitars. My Fender Deluxe strat is by far my favourite ... and not because of price ... because it plays like a dream and FEELS outstanding. Almost like I am not playing.

Tone is important ... BUT ..... so is feel in the hands of the player. Some guitars really do TALK to you !!

i am not knocking mex strats buy if you want an investment usa strats are better for holding there price . even 2006/7 mint condition go for 600 + on ebay. its hard now to buy a usa strat for say 400 or 500 unless its well used and worn out. the one i got i was so lucky right time and day and to be honest the guy must have played it no more the 6 hours use. he said its be in the case and rarely played.

the problem is not the mex strat, it just loses money when you buy it. usa strats hold there price , i was luck i bought a mint 2006 usa olympic white strat in 2010 and get this i payed £450 of ebay as the guy wanted a quick sale. the thing is he add fender staggered locking tuners and a callham trem block as well. i can sell it now for 600 as its mint. frets look like 2012 strat and theres no a mark on it.

bro maple and rosewood necks are very diferent in sound

@PaulWolf2007 I have to agree with your opinion on the difference in feel. you wouldnt think it effects it so much but you do get a little more friction with a rosewood. i have several guitars, and i like both types of necks, they are for different styles. quicker playing i like maple better smooth creamy stuff i like rosewood better
