For all the people have the numframes error, there are 2 things you can do.
1. click on the *script*.ms file, edit it, find b.numframes = xxx setAsBackground b
>delete those
2. movies background 3ds can imports are only in .ais format!!!
Thumbs up so everyone can see!!!
hope this helped :)

@reaperkaran i think i had this same problem, open up the max script file you exported (.ms) and look for the line that says filename = "FILELOCATION\FILENAME.avi" and if it has a ) at the end of it delete that bracket and save and then re-run the script.

i mean when i click render it only renders the selected frame and not the whole animation. will .avi have alpha channel?
StupidVids2009 1 year ago
@StupidVids2009 click F10, there you can select a single frame to be rendered, the active timeline or a specific range. It's the first pull out panel. I would prefer a .tga image sequence or a .jpg. yes, that takes some more HDD space but got a better quality.

StupidVids2009 1 year ago
@StupidVids2009 what do you mean by "isn't a sequence"? You can convert a .avi to .jpg_#### sequence..
