First start up of my 87 Mazda RX-7 turbo. New housings and all new seals. It stalled because of a vacuum leak.

  • Are you running an Rtek chipped ECU or is the Palm for something else?

  • Yes, I'm using the rtek 2.1 s4 TII chip.

  • ok whats wrong with the mazda huh..

  • The rubber coupler on the compressoroutlet was dry rotted and cracked. I neglected to replace it when I put the motor back in so I had a nice intake leak. Motor ran strong tho!!! Less than 2 seconds of cranking and a brand new motor fired up. :]

  • sounds smooth

  • its all good now. it was my MAF sensor

  • @musclekid13 did you check yoru Vacuums? or maybe you have an Intake manifold leak?

  • haha too late man i found out it was the MAF sensor. replaced it started right up and idles perfect. though i was plannin on replacing all my PCV crap cause its a given that it will eventually go out.

  • sounds like a vacum line.. i replace all the lines with silicone one on mine and started idling fine... and just to give you a heads up its gonna take some time to replace all the lines.

  • i got a question, my 87 rx7 13b non turbo, i start it up but i have to keep on the gas or it dies, so basically it won't idle, i adjusted the idle, but it still dies. whats my issue hear fella's?

  • sounds mean!

  • cool
