Peace be upon you all.
Masha-Allah my favorite reciter. I intend to do many more of his recitations, maybe the whole Qur'an, inshaAllah (Wallahu 'Alam).
Please Rate, Comment and Appreciate.
Peace

For those that don't know, this is the first verses revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) in the cave near Mecca via the Angel Jibriel (Gabriel). This is where Muhammad (Peace be upon him) used to go to relax and contemplate the deeper matters of life. Suddenly one day the angel Jibriel appeared to him and commanded him to "Iqra" which means to read/recite. Muhammad (Peace be upon him) first thought he was asked to read and thus responded "I am not learned" as he was unable to read or write. Angel Jibriel came to Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and squeezed him. After letting him go he repeated the word "Iqra" commanding the Prophet. Again the Prophet did not realize what Jibriel meant and said "I am not learned". This time Jibriel came to Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and squeezed him so hard until he was sweating and couldn't breathe. After which he recited the following verses to Muhammad (Peace be upon him)

Recite, In the name of your Lord Who created.
He created man from a clot (of congealed blood).
Recite and your Lord is Most Bountiful,
Who taught (to write) with the pen.
Taught man what he knew not.

After this Muhammad (Peace be upon him) was obviously terrified and went home to his wife Khadijah (May Almighty God be pleased with her) who had to consolidate the Prophet. At first the Prophet was questioning whether he had seen a devil or something. Khadijah knew that it was not the case from the character of Muhammad as he was known as "The Truthful" by the people of Mecca. She believed such a thing could not happen to such a righteous person. The next person the Prophet went to see was a Christian who studied the old scriptures to get a definitive answer to what was it that he experienced. What did this old wise Christian say? He said, I wish I was here when your people expel you from your land. This was the biggest shock for Muhammad (Peace be upon him) as he was the most loved person among all of the people of Mecca. He asked how can my people expel me? The man said, any person who has received what you have received will be repelled by his people. His only wish was that he was younger to be able to follow the Prophet when the later revelations came as he recognized from the scriptures of old that this man was the one who was to lead mankind to all truths.

"I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when he, the spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak; and he will tell you things to come. He will glorify me, for he will take of what is mine and declare it to you."
(The Bible, John 16:12-14)

This was mankind's needed Prophet who was ordered to recite what has been revealed to him to the people of Mecca, telling them to worship their only Creator, warning them of a severe punishment to come for their appalling behavior, and giving glad tidings to those who followed him and worked deeds of righteousness.

May Allah bless Muhammad, His family, His Companions and those who follow them in righteousness until the Day of Judgement. Ameen
