How To Draw: Tips on a Dragon Piece

What you need:
Paper, Tracing Paper, Prismacolour Pencil Crayons, Pencil

Tips & Tricks:
Sketching the dragon, castles and moon out first on a smaller piece of paper will help before trying it on a bigger piece of paper. Sketch it out on a larger paper, then trace it on tracing paper... it will allow for cleaner lines. For this piece I actually just started colouring on the tracing paper.

If the 1st try on tracing paper still doesn't look that well to you, trace it again and again until you get what you want. After time, you won't need the tracing paper. Practice makes perfect.

Also, if you put the tracing paper over and just begin colouring in between the lines, there's no chance of pencil smudging in your light colours (such as yellow)

Prismacolour pencil crayons will usually erase from tracing paper. I wasn't a huge fan of the first castle that was in there, so I opted to sketch t out on a different piece of paper, then adding it after the dragon was complete... It was much easier to fit it in the way I wanted it.

Great tip about drawing things out on another piece of paper so you can fit it how you like.

I use that so much. I honestly didn't know if it was an accepted technique or not lol; So I never really told anyone when they asked how I got it so perfect.

Whatever techniques you use... it doesn't really matter how you get there. Each artist has their own tricks. Just make sure you're drawing it yourself.. and it's all good.
