If the truth was known;Charlie didnt like a drummer pushing too hard and ruching things.He was laid back.I know,I backed him up in 60s.He was great and carismatic entertainer.He didnt put up with any BS.He was serious about his craft.Not a big talker but his music and style made up for it.Rest In Peace Charlie! O yeah, I was 16 yrs old and we'd have our car radio on full blast, up and down main street. One night a dj played this one song over and over again, we were pounding on the roof. The man could rock. So sorry he is gone but never forgotten.

Great thing about YT. I was trying to remember the song I liked by him, and there it was in Related Videos - Behind Closed Doors. I like this one, too - good version. And the Everlys do a good job on this one, too.

hi juanita he didn't have lung cancer but he had emphysema for a good few years you are right he did die in a motel but from a blood clot to the left lung and not a heart attack still very sad no matter how he died r.i.p charlie
