The G4 should have been remade into the PowerPC G6, except 64-bit. My highest end G4 is a 1.5GHz PowerBook G4, while my highest end G5 is a dual 1.8.

@vajksziget7a well I don't like it but I certainly dont hate it. Its known for it's speed and I respect that but I wouldn't encourage anyone to buy it. (Get a damn g4 :) )

@Macintosh3745 I agree with that.The powerpc g5 was a real energy monster processor.It made a lot of heat.Wich caused a lot of malfunctioning.As a matter of fact the G5 caused the switch from powerpc processor to intel.I can see why would you say that the G5 isn't really good processor at energy efficiency.But i don't see why you wroted down that ALL of the G5 Computers Suck.

@vajksziget7a Yes but I've seen lots of them die.

My friends PowerMac G5 died probably because we didnt have 'enough airflow'. dammit we had fans turned to high goin through dat beast we could feel the fans from the other side of the room.

@Macintosh3745 The G5 is a really good processor!!!I used a imac G5 for work.And about two months before i bought a mac mini to replace the imac G5.Because there are no longer support the Powerpc architecture at apple.
