I was born in Custer. It is in the Black Hills of South Dakota and there are a lot of family friendly places in the area. I will be taking my family there in two weeks, driving from Minneapolis.

Flintstone Park is located in Custer, South Dakota. It does not appear that AMTRAK travels near the City of Custer. I suppose The Grayhound Bus Line might be an option but that would be quite a long trip by bus.

Yes, we all had a fantastic time. In fact my now 4 year old who was 3 at the time of the trip brought it up again last week. My opinion is that it is totally worth your time to stop.
