That is the theology behind Sunday sanctity, but sadly is is NOT according to Scripture. Neither Jesus nor Peter nor Paul nor John nor James nor Luke nor any Bible writer teaches a word concerning Sunday sanctity, this is because they all kept the Lord's Day, the seventh Day, Jesus' 4th Commandment Sabbath. Ex 20:8-11, Mark 2:27-28, Rev 1:10, Acts 13:14, 42, 44, Acts 16:13, Acts 17:2, Acts 18:4.
Will we have faith to obey Jesus and enter into His rest? Matt 11:28, Heb 4:1-11.

Tis is really fooling Christians, on fryday Christ died on the cross, and as he said after 3 days he will rise, and that was on SUNDAY..that's why Sunday is Holy to Christians.

You have been led to believe that people hate them. But if I were to ask you if you hate circumcision, what would you say?
-
This example exposes obvious error, yet there is one Commandment which many have been led to hate so much that in the above example they do not find ridiculous at all, but totally fitting, to their shame. That shows the depth of misunderstanding of His scripture, and refusal to love Truth.
-
Paul never equates a person's establishing their own righteousness with their keeping of His Commandments. Paul is not saying "stop trying to establish your own righteousness by being truthful (9th), faithful (7th), and by putting Me first in your lives (1st)".
-
The law, God's Spiritual law (Rom 7:14), the Ten Commandments, define what constitutes sin.
The law, the law of Moses, the book of the law, do not anymore tell us what constitutes sin.
-
What DOES Paul call it when we break one of God's commandments? Paul calls breaking one of the Ten Commandments SIN:
"Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin." Rom 3:20
"What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” Rom 7:7.
-
This was the stumbling block for many of Paul's brethren, who still trusted in themselves for righteousness, and who believed they were saved by their works, of which example Paul cites the ceremonial law of circumcision found in the book of the law.
Notice nowhere in Philippians nor any of Paul's writings does he teach us to stop keeping the Ten Commandments, because if we kept them then we would be guilty of trying to establish our own righteousness!
-
Paul's burden in Philippians 3 is to show that believers do not look to themselves (what Paul calls "confidence in the flesh", v4) for righteousness, that righteousness unto salvation is only through Jesus, faith that He will impute & impart His perfect righteousness to all who believe:
"...not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith." v9.

such as when Abraham took Hagar to try and fulfill God's promise of a son. Man treats the law like their "hagar", they are trying to fulfill the promise of God by their attempts at keeping it. As much as I hate to say it, people are treating the sabbath like their hagar. Using it to try and fulfill the promise. The law is our attempt at righteousness, which will never work.
Faithbound213~Love is what motivates me in all that I do. YHWH made all life in His 1st 6 days and on the 7th day, He just created a day (7thday) to rest in and to Worship and commune with Him. There are 10 commands, however He has broken the 10 down to 2. 1-4 are for us to love our God, and 6-10 are how we are to love our brothers and sisters. It's that simply; Love your God with all that you are. And to love your brothers and sisters with all that you have. Love knows no boundaries or times...
