A vid about my pony Loka.
I've had him for 3 months now.
On november 21 2009 I officially started riding him bitless 4 ever.
Sinds I ride him bitless he's much more relaxed and happy. =D

  • I'm just wondering, I dont have a horse of my own but when you ride botless do you have to buy a new bridle? I know its sounds obvious but I'm just curious. And also, can you ride bitless with all horses or do they have to be trained first?

Love the video btw, you look so wonderful on him. =)

  • @Ellieslittleworld334 well you can buy a new bridle, but I don't really have any money so I just be creative and make stuff. Well I believe that every horse can be ridden bitless, but with some horses it takes longer. But then again if you have a good communication with your horse you should be able to ride with anything. I have never had problems with going from bit to bitless with my last 3 horses. I could even ride my welsh pony with a neckrope only a month after buying her.

  • @Ellieslittleworld334 I think it's also a matter of trust. If I ride a horse bitless, I have to trust and know that horse. And I think you also have to know what you are doing to a certain level. In my experience I have learned that you just have to feel the situation and do what you think is best. :)

  • so u ride with a hackamore or just a halter and reins?

  • @bballgirlmu1

    a ropehalter

  • I also ride bitless now. It really does make them less stressed doesnt it? beautiful horse =) and nice riding

  • @Tansysmaysigh

Yes it really does, when i ride Loka with a bit he's always rearing and being very nervous all the time.

When i ride bitless he is quite relaxed and hardly ever rears, i feel safer too.
