El Centro Cultural de las Americas at 40 W. Broadway in downtown Tucson holds an annual Tamal Fiesta to celebrate that great Mexican food, el tamal.
El Mariachi Cielo de Mexico played wonderfully, El Ballet Folklorico San Juan danced beautifully, El Grupo C.A.S.S. from the University of Arizona performed indigenous dances to delight us and artists brought their work for sale and some "Bocaditos" for the public to sample and take home printed recipes.
It was so much fun that our cheeks hurt from smiling and our feet hurt from dancing. Please come next year and dance with us.
