Today on this 2010 Chevrolet Traverse we are going to install part number 118450 from Tow Ready. This is their T-One wiring harness and the first steps involved is to open up the back hatch of the vehicle so we can get access to the tail lights themselves. To remove the tail lights we have got to remove these caps right here first off. There will be some bolts underneath to remove so we can take the tail light off. We will take out our screws and this is our connection behind the tail light. Push down on the little button and it should come right apart. 00:43

We have got our driver side down, lets do the same thing over on the passenger side. Now we can get to installing our wiring harness. First off we want to take the 4-pole itself and we are going to run it behind the outside body panel and we are going to run it down basically underneath the bumper. Let gravity pull it through the best we can and we are also going to do the same thing for our green wire because this is going to go below the vehicle and over to the other side. We will tuck that down out of the way. 01:20

Now make the connections for the left turn signal. We will be using the wire with the yellow and brown and white and they are simply going to plug into each other like so. We will leave that alone for now. Then take the ground wire and with the terminal we will attach it to the sheet metal in the vehicle. The sheet metal is pretty thin so you do not really have to torque it down, just enough to seat it so it will not go anywhere. Now you want to take a moment to make sure that you can pull the T-One connector with the green wire out the bottom. Once you can do that reconnect the tail light. Tuck the wiring in. Lets go underneath the vehicle now and start routing the wires across. 02:27

The next thing we are going to do is pull our wire from underneath and back up through here and we are going to use a simple piece of wire and we are just going to tuck it down through here and tie it off so it will not fall through. Tie off to our harness and we will pull it back up through. Just double check to make sure none of the wires touch the exhaust on the bottom since we go above it and make our connections back together. Zip tie the wire up to the factory harness to keep it from falling back down and getting anywhere near the exhaust. Again, the same thing as before, plug in our harness to the light and replace everything. 03:18

The next thing we are going to do is test our install. We will use our light to test our ground and we are going to put that on the ground of our 4-pole and then we will test from there. First off we will try the running lights circuit which is going to be brown wire. Next we will try the left turn which will be the yellow wire. Then we will do right turn and then we will hit the brakes and we should have some constant power on the green wire and yellow wire. The 4-pole checks out fine, and that is it. That will finish our install. There you have it for part number 118450 from Tow Ready.
