  • Mello was meant to represent L's ambition, and Near was meant to be his serious, emotionless side. In a sense, everything they do is symbolic (Mello's death, etc.) I hate it when people hate on Near and Mels, 'cause if it wasn't for them BOTH the series never would've ended. L had to die - if he didn't we would have a forever-ongoing, 500 episode series of L and Light's cat-and-mouse game...possibly with yaoi...wait a minute... *slaps self* No! No yaoi fangirl!

  • @Soppel333 21.

  • @96mangachick Nah. It was said in an interview that the idea was played with, but never gone through with.

  • I like Near when he puts on his "Look what i got from Santa!" expression. :D

Ususally followed by Light losing his shit.

  • @96mangachick I don't think so, he was just L's heir. I think they were trying to bring someone in that was like L, but no one can replace L. Mello has his sugar addiction, together Near and Mello are kind of like L, but no one can replace him still.

  • I love this song ! <3

  • I think Near is just adorable. i love how he plays with his hair. i cant help thinking if his hair is naturaly that white. o.o
