@DustinHahnMusic Your parents are probably just looking out for you. Maybe in their minds you're going to get teased, or you're too old for something, or -they- just don't like it and parents think when it comes to stuff like that they absolutely 100% know what's best. This isn't always the case. You're just going to have to explain to them how it makes you feel when they say that what you like is stupid, and even though they're your parents I say keep doing it if it makes you happy.
