Big Chop

Congradulations on big Chop... how many months did you transition. Looks like about 6 or 7 inches of new growth?

I think by the time I cut the remaining straight ends I had maybe 3 1/2 inches. I transitioned for 7 months. I got my last perm May 11, 2008 but then I put a color in my hair in August and I think that it really relaxed my new growth because I could not see any new growth past the gray new growth. And I know that my hair had grown some in 3 months. Also I have no idea what my hair type is.

It was just as the song stated " A healing for my soul". If there was anything that I would do over it would be that I would have done the BC sooner. Although I have not mastered my hair.... I promise it is so refreshing to not be a burdened with the feeling of having to get a perm inorder to make my hair manageable. I have actually been thinking about doing another BC just to experience a TWA but I think I am almost over that desire. Let me know how the BC goes. Happy Nappy

People thought that I would have cried but I had been wanting it done for 3 mths before I finally decided that I was going to do it myself and then my niece decided that she would do it but made sure that she told me that she was not responsible for what happened to my head. LOL
