I'm 19 and really enjoyed this. I have to draw my own version of the Gruffalo for my course, and didn't want to read it because the pictures might influence my own ideas, so I listened to this. It was really good and you read it with some passion! I especially enjoyed the snake's voice. Really well done!

I looked it up to find out how it sounds in English, since we read it in Hebrew to our daughter...

I must say that although the English version is better, the translation is really really good.

I love the Gruffalo, but to be honest, it is not a story of Julia Donaldson. I was grown up in Hungary, and I have a tape from my childhood (1979) with the EXACTLY same story (only the characters are different). I loved listening to my tapes, and I knew all the stories by heart. When I first heard the Gruffalo, I was surprised and I tought it would be mentioned somewhere that it was actually an old folk tale.

Folk stories are the best, JD is great, but please quote the origin!
