Bird Eye Supermouuse was a dessert that you could have in the 1980's. Very tasty when you defrosted it out of the freezer.

  • I remember another one where Peely was introducing the different ones as "heavy metal mousse, new wave mousse" etc would love to find that if anyone has it...

  • I loved these and does anyone else remember the Chocolate Lovely which was mainly frozen chocolate with frozen cream in the middle. I sometimes ate them hard from the freezer or just let them melt around the edge a bit so you had some solid and some melted chocolate to eat at the same time.

  • john peel on voice over duty! nice.

  • I can read some of the text at 0:24 it says

"Birds Eye Foods Limited, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, England"

  • God I loved the Raspberry Ripple flavour! I remember buying them from the VG around the corner! My brother liked the chocolate one and I don't think we ever tried the other flavours. You used to buy them frozen and were meant to leave them to stand so that they were a mousse....but I liked them straight from the freezer like ice cream!

  • bit before my time, but i enjoyed the mid/late 80's stuff.

  • One of Mr Ravencroft's lesser known works.
