Yesterday when I was ootnaboot I picked up a frypan that is specifically made for cooking Japanese-style omelettes. And this morning, when I was about to try it out, I thought to myself, "Hmmm... I bet the rest of the world has never seen a frypan shaped like this." So I decided to make this video for you!

  • actually, the trick to rolling the egg is to cook thin layers of eggs bit by bit. pour in a little bit of egg mixture, cook it slightly and roll it. then add another small amount of mixture and roll the rolled egg over that and repeat until the mixture is all used up. you see where im going with this?

    good job trying though.

  • I've seen people do it that way, but I've also watched them put a ladle in, mix it around, and then start rolling. It's fascinating to me. I'll have to get them doing that on video... that would be cool (I think).

  • Cows milk is for cows, it is quite damaging for human body. Go for FULL FAT CREAM instead? Is that human milk's full fat cream?

  • I agree! Very damaging for the body, which is why I don't use milk at all! Mmm.... human full fat cream... probably it would make us gag.

  • This video has a particularly fun ring to it! I love your experiments.... and .. you didn't fail.. you simply discovered that it was too big... next time... go a little smaller. It'll work out!

    I love you!

  • Yes, I guess that smaller really IS better! I'll experiment with that again in the near future.

  • ewww did you take a bite out of butter -gag-

  • It does, but the processing is different from milk processing, so it is different than milk, just as cheese is different from milk. Thanks for your question and for watching!

  • I do not think you understood the joke or actually the absurdity of what you said in your video.

  • lol u could add your bacon to it

  • This video is reminding me of an awesome video here in youtube of chef Gordon Ramsey cooking eggs. I've been trying my own variations of it for a few weeks now and I think its the tastiest recipe for eggs I've ever come across.

I'm going to have to try adding yogurt to my eggs. It looks tasty.

  • Actually for a truly fluffy omelet, you only need add a small amount of water.

The steaming /evaporating water fluffs up the eggs without any Milk products.

for more volume... use more eggs.
