  • haha, np, I'm glad this is making ppl happy ^_^

  • Thank you for sharing this one. It's the funniest video that I've seen in a while. I loved Dr.D some 30 years ago. Ouch, has it been that long?! Alas, it portrays the current state of affairs ... "where nobody's dreams come true."

  • @christopherm2k no, thank you for enjoying it, hehe

yeah, it's that brilliant bittersweet that makes for great cult classics

  • yay, missing Doctor Demento and KMET so bad... now we've got The Wave, with Sting and Sade and Kenny G.....

  • @conradragzoff I know, I grew up on Doctor Demento. Someone needs to do an acceptable podcast of the same caliber :)

  • @revraikes there will NEVER be another Doctor Demento. Nobody's producing any comedy like what was available to him back then.... Carlin's dead, Pryor's dead, Cheech and Chong are doing cameos on George Lopez, and nobody's rushing to remake "Fish Heads"...

  • @conradragzoff I feel ya. There's gotta be some creative folks out there though. We just have to get 'em to start doin' funny stuff again. It's not like things have to be going great for ppl to goof on stuff. Those artists you mentioned were from some times of serious hardship, as I recall from growing up on them, too :)

  • This movie is huge.

  • THANK YOU!!! This is a treasure!!! As another DEMENTed Listener, simply THANK YOU!!!

  • @paragshah2112 Thanks - you obviously know the streets of L.A. I love this song, but am a Midwesterner. Only visited Quakestown a few times, and I wasn't driving. I thought they were saying "Segoya" and "El Dorado". Now I'll know better.

  • Pico And Sepulveda Doheny.... Cahuenga.... La Brea.... Tar Pits! La Jolla.... Sequoia.... La Brea.... Tar Pits! You can keep Alvarado, Santa Monica, even Beverly Drive. Vine may be fine, but for mine I want to feel alive and settle down in my La Brea.... Tar Pits.... Where nobody's dreams come true.
