Quick facial expressions done through morphing in 3ds Max of the 6 basic expressions. They are in order: Disgust, Anger, Fear, Joy, Sadness, and Surprise. The head starts out in a relaxed pose for about the first second.

  • did you use a modifier.

  • I used the morpher modifier, and then you make copies of the head with the expressions you want and use them as "morph targets" in the modifier. You can probably find a tutorial for it if you search "3ds max morph modifier."

  • @OmegaSeekerr I thought the very purpose of facial expressions was to give a visual cue of the persons emotional state.

    Id kinda intrigued as to who you teach. When you smile, do you slap a post-it-note on your forehead that says "Im Happy" =D

  • the first one kind of scared me.

  • Not useful to someone like me for teaching purposes if you don't label what emotion they are!
