What is your recipe for making the icing?
-
@irma56274 royal icing will start off shiny but once dried will have a matte finish. if you are wanting a shiny icing once it's dried I'd suggest using a cookie glaze or I belive Wilton Color flow will have a shiny look once dried. hope that helps!

@desha33456 yes dragees can be eaten. dragees are candy coated sugar pearls, some are satin coated while others have a metallic coating. hope that helps!

How does the icing dry??
mismonique1970 2 months ago
@mismonique1970 It dries at room temperature and how long it takes depends on the humidity of your environment and the size of your cookie. Anywhere from 6-24 hours. The icing acts as a sealant for freshness and your cookie underneath won't dry out.

@TVXQheartsMe You could make royal icing using real eggs. Search for (maybe on google), royal icing made with egg whites.
