Students and staff welcomed those joining the University throughout the week, during a range of events held at Civic Quarter and Headingley Campus.
Harewood House was the scenic venue for this year's Freshers' Ball, which had a Willy Wonka theme. Friday's Freshers' Fair, run by the Students' Union in parternship with the University, was an opportunity for all new students at Leeds Met to find out more about every society and group on offer.
Clubs and societies offer a great way for students to meet new people in their first week, and also provide an ideal opportunity to to try new activities and develop new interests.
The fun continued on Saturday with a Teddy Bear's Picnic held at Headingley Campus. The picnic was organised by the CALM volunteers for students with caring responsibilities. The event included games, face painting, music, and a picnic.
