they said this was a temporary fix; is that just if the rust goes all the way through? if i just had surface rust i wanted to repair would this be a good long term fix? thanks!

tell me what exactly they're doing wrong again? everyone says they're dumbfucks but why? I don't know whether or not they are, but this is at least the most understandable step by step process for learning Ive found so far, so please, I am 17 and I just want to repair my car decently but I don't have money, or tools, so please help me understand. - thanks for any input

GOOD GRIEF! It's a sad shame that some of you guys have to be so incredibly nasty. Yes, they can replace this with a patch panel (which would be best and he does mention at 4:50) HOWEVER this vid is intended for the "do-it-yourselfer" and not for top pros. Doubtful most non-professionals have MIG or TIG welders at their disposal nor the skill to use them accurately. I do agree that for this procedure, fiberglass or a 3M 2-part metal repair epoxy would have been better to use than body filler.
